Labor Day Concert in the Park

These photos are definitely from Labor Day. Oops. At least you get to see them now, right? We have been going to the Spokane Symphony's concert in the park for the past few years and it just seems to get better. The songs were mostly recognizable (I think 75% were from Disney) and the kids did great. The weather seems to be chillier than the year before, but not freezing. Can't wait for next year!
Charlie refused to put his cup down.

Spokane Symphony in the Park

The Spokane Symphony does a free concert at Comstock park every Labor Day and we've made it a tradition to go. We've been the last three years and it has been very fun each time. This was our first time with Charlie and he did great. He generally enjoys being outside and can stay up later than usual (not that it was too much later). This year they played some Legend of Zelda and music from the Patriot, it was very enjoyable and entertaining.
Nice set up right?
Aren't they just the cutest sisters?
This was Charlie's reaction to the puppy. Every time. It is adorable.

Pig Out in the Park

Pig Out in the Park is one of the bigger Spokane events that happens each year. Basically food vendors, beer gardens, and concerts take over our Riverfront Park. They have concerts (and magic shows!) going all day long and the vendors are open around 10 in the morning and go until who knows when. So of course we had to go! Andy got his usual, a gyro, and I decided to try a reuben sandwich. Both were overpriced and delicious, per the usual. The boys then decided to split some nachos and I got some delicious pumpkin and huckleberry donuts. It was a successful Pig Out. Until next time.
Going on a Saturday meant that it was PACKED. But we never usually find a table anyway and sit on the outskirts.
These donuts were fantastic. I think I preferred the pumpkin over huckleberry, but I think that might be because of the cinnamon and sugar :)
He might have wanted some food. And sleep. I think he would have settled for either.
Line and her elephant ear.
Some good ol' grammy time.

Audubon Park Concert #2

I love picnics. I don't know why, but I love them. There is just something so romantic about the idea. Ours never really turns out to be romantic, we usually just people watch and stare at Charlie, but it is enjoyable. The band that played this week was Nobody Famous and they were all over the place, as far as their music choices. They sang some country and some Jason Mraz and a lot of other interesting choices. It was a good time, even though we did leave halfway through to put Mr. Charles in bed.
Our dinner consisted of salad with some cheese, crackers and summer sausage. Delicious.
This kid. What a cutie.
