Mule Days '15

Mule Days came and went. The parade was about the same as last year except Charlie and Maggie cried at any sound that came from the parade (the Civil War Re-Enactment really impacted them). They did enjoy collecting and eating all the candy that was thrown at them, and we even got to see Charlie's little friend Andrew ride in the parade. Hopefully next year is a total success, but we might have to start over with the new babies :)
You can see the terror in Charlie and Maggie's faces in this photo. And I'm pretty sure there was nothing coming.
Charlie enjoyed waving at everyone. It was adorable.
This was new
I think this was when a marching band was going by. He just couldn't couldn't even.

Mule Days '14

It's that time of year again. Mule Days! It is crazy to look back at last years parade (you can view the post here) and see how small they were! I know a year makes a huge difference, especially at this age, but still, he was so tiny! This year he was waving, or at least he waved once, and he got to eat some candy. He definitely cried when we tried to put him out there to get candy though, maybe next year he'll be running around with Line and Daniel to get some. We'll see about that though.
What's a parade without dogs riding horses?
This little girl was so sweet and the kids absolutely LOVED her

Jr. Lilac Parade

Sorry for my disappearance on here the last few weeks. I kind of got used to not taking the camera anywhere, which then results in no pictures to post, so I've just gotta get back into the swing of things. But in other news, it has been a year since I started this blog! Can you believe it? I can't. I know the time has passed but it is so crazy to look back and see how small Charlie and Maggie were. I am very excited to have this place to see the changes.
These pictures are from the Junior Lilac Parade last week (we missed the actual Lilac Parade this weekend because it was past Charlie's bedtime). But this parade was quite fun. I'm always impressed with how good these kids do for being in junior high. Very impressive. Anyways, I hope everyone has a good week!

Andy's Aunt and Uncle came into town to pick up their son from college so we got to see them for a big at the parade before leaving. And they brought their dog which the kiddos enjoyed quite a bit.

Mule Days

Parades, parades, parades. We love parades :) This one was even more fun because Andy's grandpa was in it for his high school class, which made it a bit more exciting to watch. Also, this celebration was not just a parade, they also had a kids area with pony rides and a bouncing castle, they also had booths of random crafts and food. We enjoyed meandering through the booths while a folk band played a very random selection of songs. Then it was some greasy burgers for lunch and nap time for Charlie.

There's that princess wave again

Charlie has found his hands in the past few weeks and enjoys chewing on anything he can get his little chubby hands on. His favorite is his Sophie toy by far. She's just so squeaky :)

Line got to go on her first pony ride and she loved it. The pony was named Willy and he was the most adorable little shrimp of a pony.

Memories Made in May

I'm a few days late, but what a great month, right? Our time was spent enjoying the sun when it was out and playing games when it rained. We enjoyed the Jr. Lilac Parade with some family and friends the other day and it was a perfect parade. Not too long, beautiful weather and the kiddos got plenty of candy (which is by far the best part). Although the marching bands were a close second with the adorable middle schoolers. It is just now the beginning of June and I cannot wait for the heat to come back and play outside again!

Line worked on her princess wave and also her candy stash :)

Charlie was supposed to be sleeping for his morning nap, but who wants to nap when there's fun to be had?

Maggie trying Charlie's hat on for size. I think she could definitely use one for herself. Pretty Adorable that girl.

I'm so excited for June!
