Greenville Park

On one of the first days that we arrived in Greenville we went to a local park and let the kids run wild. It was Charlie's first time seeing these cousins for a while and he warmed right up to them, especially Brooklynn. They were hand in hand playing all through the playground and he loved it. Taylor was a close second. So he was pretty happy to say in the least.
Isn't he just adorable?
I wish we had one of these at our park!
She wasn't the happiest on the first few days of our trip
See? Hand in hand.

Family Time

Here are some photos from our trip to South Carolina for my sister's wedding. This trip ended up being one of the better family vacations because we were all able to stay in the same house, well mostly. Everyone except for my sister and me stayed at this amazing house that was loaned to us from some family friends. We stayed at her apartment which was less than a 5 minute drive away, so we would simply drive over in the morning and head home when all the fun was had and everyone else was going to sleep. Plus I got to leave Charlie overnight at the big house and didn't have to haul him back and forth.
My sister (who is now married!!!) and little Pip
My other sister washed the cars with the kiddos and they all had a pretty great time
especially this guy

Granville Island

Last but not least of our Vancouver trip photos is from a day we spent at Granville Island. We enjoyed this little area and would definitely come back to visit this place. They have a market that has lots of restaurants and food booths that you can choose from. After we ate we walked around some shops around the island and then ended up at the kids market, which is filled with kids shops and an adventure zone. Charlie was loving it.
Charlie loves to climb down from his stroller by just sliding down

Vancouver Aquarium

One of the most fun parts of Vancouver was going to the aquarium. Apparently the Vancouver Aquarium is the largest in Canada and they had quite a few things to see, including sharks, jellyfish, dolphins, beluga whales, and sea otters. Charlie was pretty impressed with all the fish at first but kind of got over it when it came to nap time. They also had a 4-D theater that Charlie was not a huge fan of (I had to leave after a few minutes with him). The movie was about wild salmon and the seats would rumble and you would get water sprayed at you, so it wasn't a huge surprise that Charlie was not thrilled. The bubbles were fun though!
In pregnancy news I have only 4 weeks left! I had my doctors appointment yesterday and I am 50% effaced and dilated to a 1, which doesn't really mean much other than its getting closer.

Vancouver

Last week we were able to take a little baby-moon trip to Vancouver and it was just plain wonderful. We did bring Charlie with us, but we didn't mind having him, it gave us more to do. Without him we probably would have just stayed in the hotel watching HGTV all day, which doesn't sound horrible to me, but I'm glad that we did get out and do some fun stuff. One of the most fun things was actually to just walk to a local park and let him play. It had an awesome playground and I kind of wish we could go back to it in the summer because they had this amazing homemade creek for kids to play in. Charlie would be all over it. In fact, he already kind of was.
Now that we're home and that Thanksgiving is tomorrow(!!!) I get to slave in the kitchen preparing some yummy food. Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving tomorrow!!! (and maybe scores some great deals on Friday)

Greenville Zoo

Before we left Greenville we hit up their local zoo, which isn't huge, but it's at least twice the size of ours. And they had more than just tigers, which was nice to look at. The zoo was all decked out and decorated for halloween with blow up animals and wooden signs, which Charlie actually thought was way more interesting than the animals. They also had a very fun playground that I would have loved to spend all day at when I was younger.
This was his favorite animal to look at. It moved its head from side to side and he was very curious.
He's getting the hang of these things.

Fall for Greenville, SC

One thing that was going on while we were in Greenville was Fall for Greenville. It is an annual thing that is similar to Pig Out in Spokane, they set up food booths and have music playing all day long for a few days. This one was a bit different than ours because you purchased tickets to buy food with, and also they were a little bit cheaper and smaller portions so you could try a bit of this and a bit of that. It was very enjoyable.
Fall for Greenville also takes place in their downtown which sits right on their beautiful park and river. We decided to play there for a bit while we were waiting to get hungry. Charlie definitely got his pants soaked and then spent the remainder of the night in his diaper. I felt pretty classy.
These are some of the booths that were set up. TONS of people.

Greenville, SC

This past week it was a bit quiet on here because Charlie and I were in Greenville, SC! We left last Tuesday morning, like EARLY morning, and just got back on Sunday night. I had three flights each way so the travel days were all travel. Which wasn't too bad, except for Charlie only slept on the flights for a total of 30 minutes combined. Once we were there though, it was great. My twin sister, Kathryn, has been living there for the past two years and I finally got to meet her boyfriend and just to get to spend some good quality time with her. It has been way too long. I'll be posting more photos from the trip later this week, but here are just a few.
Just hanging out in our room and trying to get used to the time change.
One of our stops had to be Rita's
Charlie got his own little cone with TONS of sprinkles. It was gone in about two minutes.
I think that if they had this in Spokane I would eat there every night. Seriously, so good.

Nelson, B.C.

On the second day of our camping trip we decided to make a little trek up to Nelson, B.C. since none of us had been before. The camp ground was only about 20 minutes from the border so it's kind of sad that we never just drove up before. I had never been to this side of Canada, I've been to Nova Scotia and Winnipeg, but never the west coast so I was pretty stoked about it. It turned out that today was their Pride Parade and so either businesses were closed down for that or it was just Sunday, but most of the shops seemed to be closed, which wasn't too big a deal because we couldn't really go into any shops with all the kiddos. It would have been a massacre. But we did enjoy ourselves and walked through the main street and then down to the wharf. We were only there for a few hours but it was a nice excursion from camping.
Line loves a good statue and a good pose to go with it
Charlie is doing his good ol' cheers here
Not everyone went with us but all the kiddos did
We found a nice koi pond for the kids to marvel at
That belly button never stood a chance
